ROUGH SILK Singer Produces Solo Album From RAGE Drummer

Singer Ferdy Doernberg of the German epic/melodic metallers ROUGH SILK has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"I produced and play dobro, trumpet (!!) and keyboards on Mike Terrana's [RAGE] new solo album, 'Man of the World'. It's an instrumental/fusion-album with great musicians like Kevin Chown (TONY MACALPINE, ARTENSION, TED NUGENT, JEFF KOLLMAN),Victor Smolski (RAGE) and the French guitar player Cyril Achard (TABOO VOODOO),who has written most of the tracks. I'm really proud of being a part of it.

"Also, I played the keyboards on the new BRAINSTORM album, which will also be cool.

"The debut album from my brother's 'hardpop,' German-language band TREIBHAUS has been released on Kneeve Records. He sings and played most of the stuff (keyboards, drums, guitars and bass) himself. Great job, Curt!!! (I did some additional recordings on this one, too!)

"The release of my solo-album '…'Till I Run Out of Road' will be delayed because the record label that wanted to release it unfortunately went bankrupt and so I have to look for another deal first. Sorry!!!!"

As previously reported, ROUGH SILK recently parted ways with bassist Ralf Schwertner, guitarist Nils Wunderlich and drummer Herbert Hartmann. Replacing them in the group are André Hort (bass, A.O.D.),Mike Mandel (guitar, A.O.D.) and drummer Thomas Becker.
